Take 1 has been commissioned by BBC Teach to deliver subtitles for the new education site’s short-form content catalogue.  Take 1 will provide full programme transcriptions alongside the subtitle delivery.

BBC Teach is a dedicated teaching resource site which aims to support educators by curating the best BBC videos, clips and other curriculum-related resources for use in the classroom.  The site covers 22 subjects ranging from early years to GCSE/Nationals and Highers, organised by subject and age group, to help teachers deliver lessons.  For major events, such as Black History Month or Shakespeare Season, BBC Teach also curates collections pages featuring content and links to relevant pages from around the rest of the BBC.

Take 1 has extensive experience delivering subtitles and transcription data for a number of BBC projects across multiple platforms.  As such, the company’s team are accustomed to delivering against the BBC guidelines and in multiple formats (including .SRT for social and the BBC EBU TTD format for online.)

“We’re excited to be working with the BBC Teach team on yet another project for the broadcaster,” said Take 1 Commercial Manager, Claire Brown. “The BBC have stringent requirements not only around technical delivery, but also on grammar and language usage.  As a regular supplier to various departments and projects for the broadcaster, our team is familiar with and able to deliver against their guidelines without wasting any time – making Take 1 a natural choice for their transcription and subtitling requirements.”
