Job: Localisation Project Manager

Location: UK (option of remote but must be UK based)

Job objective:

The Localisation Project Manager is responsible for supervising the overall organisation of localisation projects (dubbing, subtitling and translation) for their clients. They are responsible for interpreting the client’s needs to allow them to provide accurate quotes to the relevant Sales person. The Localisation Project Manager will also use the database of trusted vendors and freelancers to select the most appropriate resource to assign to each job.

The Localisation Project Manager will co-ordinate each job from start to finish, ensuring client satisfaction and ultimately providing the Finance team with the necessary information to allow timely invoicing for all work completed.

Key tasks:

  • Providing day-to-day support to Sales team members requiring quotes or other information to allow them to hit their sales targets in relation to Localisation.
  • Co-ordinating and arranging delivery to Take 1 of necessary media and other files from localisation clients.
  • In conjunction with the media services team when necessary, ensuring the incoming media is logged on the Take 1 systems, ready for supply to vendors or freelancers.
  • Logging of work items onto relevant internal and external systems (cross referencing instructions from Salesforce or client emails to ensure they are accurately entered).
  • Providing support for vendors, freelance resources and clients to troubleshoot any issues they are experiencing.
  • Providing accurate and timely reports of work in progress, as well as regular revenue/margin reports.
  • Continuous monitoring of individual job deadlines to ensure these are met within good time, and forward planning to chase freelancers or vendors if deadline delivery may be in jeopardy.
  • Support Sales team in dealing with and solving potential complaints.
  • Supporting localisation colleagues across all Take 1 offices, to ensure that there is a truly global approach to delivering localisation work.

Required skill set:

  • General intuitive skill with PC software and computers.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Experience of manipulating audio/video files and formats with a good understanding of broadcast and/or digital video/ftp technology.
  • Excellent spelling, grammar and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based media workflows (AWS)
  • Knowledge of translation, subtitling, dubbing and television production processes an advantage.
  • Proven customer service skills.
  • Ability to think quickly, multi-task and keep calm under pressure.
  • Self-motivation and proven ability to work on own initiative.
  • Excellent IT skills including ability to learn new software/programmes quickly; proficiency in Word & Outlook; and experience of Admin systems and Excel preferred.

Job: Software Technology Lead

Location: UK (option of remote but must be UK based)

Job objective:

To lead the software design, testing, security and architecture of Take1’s software and applications in the cloud to enable the business to migrate away from legacy systems.

Key tasks:

  • Define and uphold best practises in software; design, testing, security and architecture.
  • Mentor junior members on coding and best practises.
  • Lead AI and ML R&D.
  • Provide 3rd Line support.
  • Train and document for Media Services Team and junior members on how to support software.

Required skill set:

  • Work with development team and product manager to ideate software solutions.
  • Design client-side and server-side architecture.
  • Build the front-end of applications through appealing visual design.
  • Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications.
  • Write effective APIs.
  • Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software.
  • Create security and data protection settings.
  • Build features and applications with a mobile responsive design.
  • Write technical documentation.
  • Work with feedback to improve software.
