Financial Accountant

Key objective:

The Take 1 finance function is undergoing a period of exciting change. We are in the process of introducing a new accounting package. We are redesigning our workflows and processes and working towards having a more automated finance function as we enter into our new financial year in April 2022.

We are looking for someone who would be excited to join at this pivotal stage in the department and be part of the set up of the new function and take it forward with opportunity to add value.

Key tasks

  • Responsibility for month end close for Chile entity.
  • Ensure that we are transfer pricing compliant.
  • Monitor large P&L line items against budget and produce variance analysis
  • Provide detailed staff cost analysis
  • Accruals and Prepayments
  • Work with the UK team to ensure that revenue and costs are all matched.
  • Maintain processes and ensure audit compliance. Work with personnel outside of finance to ensure processes are being followed.
  • Work with external accountants on all filing requirements in Chile and payroll
  • Assist and help the team in the UK as needed.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations, staff cost and freelance cost analysis
  • Daily Cash management
  • Assist with annual audit process
  • Assist with annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
  • Assist with ad hoc queries and projects when they arise

Skills Required

  • Part qualified/newly qualified accountant looking to get experience across all aspects of day to day finance.
  • 3-5 years experience in finance
  • Advanced Excel
  • Demonstrate high level of attention to detail
  • Demonstrate ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strongly motivated and proactive in nature
  • Organised and articulate

Business Development Director – US


Salary Range: Competitive

Position: Business Development Director 

Location: US

Key objective:

We are looking for a Business Development Director to grow Take 1’s market position within the US M&E sector by increasing the sales of Take 1’s portfolio of Localization Services and Access Services.

Key tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Identify and manage a set of new prospects/clients in the broadcast, streaming, theatrical, distribution, and content production market with a focus on generating opportunities and closing deals.
  • Target Key accounts, set up meetings with senior stakeholders, present Take 1 credentials, oversee the development of proposals, bids, quotations and respond to RFPs.
  • Negotiate and close localization contracts and achieve quarterly / annual revenue targets.
  • Accurately forecast future territory sales and provide weekly reporting. Follow and achieve a set of sales goals managed on a monthly basis
  • Build, develop and nurture long lasting client relationships
  • Serve as the Account Director for key accounts, solving any problems and championing the client within the business.
  • Attend key trade shows and travel as needed.
  • Negotiate deals with a view to selling in other Take 1 products and services.
  • Identify customer requirements, trends and collaborate with internal operational teams to meet client needs, and provide client updates to executive leadership team.
  • Contribute towards design, build and roll out of new products, production workflows and corresponding familiarization guidelines in response to commercial opportunities
  • Contribute towards ideas around marketing initiatives, to develop Take 1’s positioning and to ensure all external perceptions of the company are nurtured, enriched and consistent
  • Maintain and manage Salesforce with up to date client information
  • Gather industry knowledge and intel on M&E market trends, our products, competitors, Take 1 positioning etc
  • To support annual budget projections with accurate forecasts of future localisation and access services sales for all regions.
  • Deliver an excellent level of customer service, ensuring the timely and successful delivery of the client’s requirements.

Key skills required:


  • An experienced sales professional with solid experience in a customer facing/senior sales management role.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Problem-solving and analytical ability
  • Experience growing relationships and upselling additional services with a proactive customer centric approach.
  • A motivated self-starter
  • A confident communicator with an ability to listen, to understand customer needs, and to respond to these appropriately.

  • A highly organised collaborator with strong attention to detail.


  • Experience with Salesforce
  • Experience in the TV & Media industry, either in Localization, Production or Post-Production.
